Sand runs through my fingers, not like the stuff inside an hour glass, what a fucking over used analogy that is, but like the stuff inside a warm corpse; nothing mystical, very plain, the process just gives pause for thought, maybe followed by a smile of sorts.

The sand between my toes on the other hand, excites all that much more, after all proximity to anything stirring, excuse the second pun, will make the blood flow hot!

Progress has often crossed my mind as to what does it actually achieve! Stability – no! Creativity- no! Philanthropy – no! Many other things which ‘people’ say it does achieve – a resounding ‘No!’ which should echo between men’s ears! Are you blind as well as impaired otherwise? Progress makes you take more, want more and kill for more; with which ever justification you see fit or you manipulate it to do so. It is the desert not the forest of plenty!

I like my desert; it fills me up and delivers the goods!

Ha! FedEx and DHL would never find my secret, sandy hideaway, no fucking way! Ha!

They’d get lost and their ‘SatNavs’, would blow an LCD and the sweet voiced lady would throw her hands in the air, (metaphorically, of course), and scream, “I don’t know if it’s right or fucking left!’, and die, smoking a Marlboro Light, adding that at least cancer didn’t get her. Ha, bloody ha!

Progress is a dune at my secret, sandy hideaway that will change its shape as soon as a blow of desert breeze wanders on by; no fixing there, ever changing and always at the whim of something not realized.

It achieves a temporary resting place for a grain of sand.

At my secret, sandy hideaway intrusion has no option, it’s where the plans are made and scheduled with the minds of ants and locusts; no change, no alters, just some fixation on the goal in head.

Catch me if you can, piss off, my SSH will keep you haunted and in the shade!

I must have water, I must have food, I will be entertained. You’re spry, you’re quick, you’re always there but you will not trick me into the looking glass with the smiling Cheshire Cat. Dear, dear, how sad you poor little Alice you never had a fucking chance!

Onwards and upwards as a rising deity said a bit ago; we can’t be cocooned all day, there is a game ahead and you pieces must act your parts. Sorry that it is a game of chess with only me to joust, hee hee ‘that’ch the way to do it!’ You are all a bit peripheral to the event; you just add colour and spark, or at least water, food and entertainment. Mmmm.

There is something nice though, a small, infantile oasis with a stripy deckchair, even I need to catch up and breathe in the smell.

Now we need a teensy weensy bit of perspective and angle, so we can move out…..
